Last week, we welcomed Minister Robert Tieman to the eFuels Rotterdam project site for an update on our shared ambition to scale up synthetic Sustainable Aviation Fuel in the Port of Rotterdam. Together with Power2X, we are developing an industrial hub for the production, storage and delivery of eSAF. This project supports the decarbonization of European aviation and strengthens the Netherlands’ role in the future energy landscape.
We also hosted a group of European NGOs last week, for an open and constructive discussion on what is needed to accelerate the development of the eSAF market, while ensuring that value chains are set up responsibly and sustainably. A warm thank you to Natuur & Milieu for co-organizing the visit.
During Minister Tieman’s visit, we explored the opportunities that large-scale eSAF production can bring to the country, along with the conditions needed to enable this emerging industry. These include long-term regulatory clarity, strong and committed partners, continued investor confidence, and a skilled team capable of delivering projects of this scale.
At Advario, we continue to build the safe and reliable infrastructure that enables progress. As partners for progress, we value close collaboration with policymakers, NGOs and industry leaders, and we appreciate the Minister’s engagement as we work together to advance clean aviation fuels and support a future-proof energy sector in the Netherlands.
