During the StocExpo Conference at Ahoy Rotterdam on 10 March, the Tank Storage Awards brought together companies from the global terminal industry to celebrate excellence in storage and logistics.

This year, Advario took home two awards.

The Silver Award for Best Overall Logistics Provider reflects the expertise of our teams, the strength of our partnerships and the trust our customers place in us every day. We deliver reliable storage and logistics for essential energy products, chemicals and gases. This keeps industries running and supply chains moving worldwide. It is also part of our Horizon 2030 strategy. We are strengthening today’s infrastructure while preparing for evolving energy systems, including emerging products such as hydrogen and ammonia.

We also received the Silver Award for Outstanding Achievement for Merje Einmann. With more than 30 years of experience, she has guided the Finnish organization through major geopolitical disruptions. She focused on local markets and embraced renewable opportunities. Her leadership combines deep technical expertise with empathy and courage.

Congratulations to all winners and shortlisted nominees, and thank you to Tank Storage Magazine for organizing this important industry event.

As Ramadan comes to a close, many of our colleagues, partners, and communities are marking Eid al-Fitr, a moment to come together with family and friends, share generosity, and reflect on what truly matters.

This year, Eid arrives at a time when parts of the world are facing uncertainty and hardship. Our thoughts are with everyone affected, and we hope that the spirit of Eid brings comfort and compassion.

To everyone celebrating, we wish you a peaceful Eid.
Eid Mubarak.

This year’s IWD United Nations theme, “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls,” reinforces that progress depends on the actions we take every day. Around the world, many women and girls still face barriers to equal opportunities, and all of us have a role to play in helping change that.

Today, our teams represent 43 nationalities in 10 countries, bringing together a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and capabilities. From engineers and operators to finance, commercial, and corporate teams, this diversity helps us innovate, collaborate, and build stronger partnerships.

We are also making steady progress in strengthening gender balance in leadership. As part of our Horizon 2030 ambitions, we are working toward 33% women in leadership roles by 2030. We remain committed to developing talent and creating opportunities for more women to grow into leadership roles throughout our organization.

International Women’s Day is also being celebrated throughout our terminal network to recognize and celebrate the contributions of women in our organization.

By continuing to support one another and promote equal opportunity, we strengthen our culture and the future of our company.

As the Lunar New Year begins, we celebrate new beginnings while reflecting on the achievements and the opportunities ahead.

Across our terminals in China, colleagues marked the Lunar New Year with shared meals, performances, and traditional toasts celebrating achievements and strengthening connections. In Singapore, a Lion Dance and Lo Hei celebration brought the team together to welcome prosperity, good fortune, and new beginnings.

Advario wishes everyone celebrating a joyful and prosperous Lunar New Year.

Today marks the start of Ramadan, a sacred month dedicated to reflection, prayer, fasting, and community.

To our colleagues, partners, customers and the communities in which we operate, we wish you a meaningful time filled with blessings, positivity, and peace.

Ramadan Mubarak!

Members of Advario’s Supervisory Board and Executive Leadership Team visited our colleagues in Finland this week for meetings and terminal visits in Kotka and Hamina.

Thank you to the Advario Finland Leadership Team and all colleagues involved for the well‑organized and engaging program. The visit provided valuable opportunities for focused business discussions, operational insights, and personal dialogue.

The Finnish industry has been heavily impacted by the recent geopolitical situation, and we are proud to see the team’s continued progress in a challenging market. Collaboration, safety leadership, and resilience were evident throughout the visit, reflecting a strong culture and commitment across the organization.

We appreciate the warm welcome and look forward to building on this momentum together!

Europe’s industry at a turning point

On 11 February, Advario joined more than 600 industry leaders in Antwerp for the European Industry Summit and the Antwerp Call to Action, together with policymakers including President Ursula von der Leyen. The central question was clear: how can Europe safeguard its industrial base while continuing to decarbonize?

Within the chemical and industrial sector, there was strong alignment that action is needed now on three priorities:
• Bring energy and carbon costs down
• Secure fair global trade and access to finance
• Strengthen demand for products made in Europe

The urgency is real. Since early 2024, more than 100 industrial sites have closed, and significant chemical capacity has been lost. Production has increasingly shifted outside Europe, often to regions with higher carbon intensity. That does not reduce global emissions. It shifts them elsewhere.

For Advario, this discussion is directly relevant. Our terminals in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges and elsewhere in Europe support essential chemical, gas, and emerging low carbon industries. A strong and competitive European industry is critical not only for economic performance, but also for effective emissions reduction.

As partners for progress, we believe industry and policymakers need to move forward together. Creating the right conditions for investment and innovation is essential if Europe wants to remain a place where industry can compete, produce, and decarbonize at the same time.

11th of February marks the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. At Advario, engineering, infrastructure and technology, shape how we operate every day — from safety and terminal operations to digitalization and innovation across our global network.

At Advario, we believe that empowering women and fostering diverse perspectives and inclusive collaboration is needed to strengthen performance, enhance safety, and drive long-term progress across our operations and the industry we serve. Together we energize progress.

Advario will be attending International Energy Week (IEW) 2026, taking place 10–12 February 2026 in London. IEW is a leading global forum bringing together energy leaders, policymakers, and innovators to shape the future of the energy system.

Our team from HQ, Belgium, Singapore, Dubai, Oman, and the US are looking forward to engaging in conversation and exploring new opportunities.

If you’re attending too, let’s connect!
