2023: A transformative year
2023 was a transformative year for us as a partner in the global energy industry, in which we among others signed the agreement of land for the greenfield development of new energy infrastructure in the Port of Rotterdam. It was also a pivotal year as we continued to navigate an ongoing changing energy landscape. 2023 underlined again the urgent need for cleaner energy sources and the growing demand for sustainable solutions.

Safety and responsible operations are the foundation of how we do business, requiring constant attention and continuous improvement. It is always our top priority. Our commitment to care extends to the communities surrounding our terminals, making a positive impact through local initiatives.
Our 2023 climate action
We run our operations responsibly, ensuring the well-being of current and future generations. Globally, our terminals provide safe and reliable tank storage solutions needed to ensure global energy and chemicals flows. We achieved an 11.6% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emission intensity, reflecting our dedication to decarbonizing our operations and targeting net-zero Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by 2040.
Sustainability at the heart of our growth
In 2023, we continued to focus on sustainable growth. Assuring the security of energy and the demand for affordable energy required significant infrastructure development to connect low-carbon supply with demand. We advanced greenfield and brownfield investments in chemicals, gas, and new energy infrastructure. In our portfolio shift we grew the share of bio-based products we store and again reduced the share of fossil fuels, while expanding our hydrogen and ammonia capabilities.
